Applications
-
- Mining Equipment: It is widely used in the manufacturing of mining machinery such as bulldozer blades, excavator buckets, and crusher linings. These parts need to withstand the severe abrasion caused by ores and rocks. The high hardness and wear – resistance of NM400 steel make it an ideal material for such applications. For example, in an open – pit mine, the excavator buckets made of NM400 steel can have a longer service life and better performance when handling large amounts of ores.
- Construction Machinery: In construction machinery, NM400 steel is used for wear – resistant parts like the cutting edges of loaders and the wear plates of bulldozers. The excellent wear – resistance property helps to reduce the wear and tear of these parts during heavy – duty construction work, such as earth – moving and material handling operations.
- Transportation Equipment: It can be used in the production of wear – resistant components of transportation vehicles, such as the wear – resistant plates of dump trucks. When transporting abrasive materials like gravel and sand, these plates can effectively resist wear and protect the vehicle body.
