Q: What are the impurity element content standards in this steel, and what are the consequences of exceeding the standards?

Time:2023-04-03

A: Phosphorus (P) should not exceed 0.03% and sulfur (S) should not exceed 0.03%. Excessive impurity elements will reduce the toughness and weldability of the steel. Too much sulfur will lead to hot brittleness and make the steel prone to cracking during hot working.
